Not all chinese facebook notes are dumb.

I often LOL-ed at those Mandarin notes in facebook which people shared and forward. Especially those regarding boy girl relationship. 


For example, it states that to be a good gf, i must be happier than him when he is happy, and be sadder than him when he is sad. “你开心时比你还开心，你难过时比你还难过”  =/ Is there a logical explanation for this? Shouldn't I be calm so that i can see the things you cant see when you're happy and hyper, so that i can warn you of the danger that is in front of you when you're overlooking it?


在他开心的时候帮他留意下一步的危险性，而不是陪她一起因为小小成就而沾沾自喜。难道不是吗? 他难过的时候提醒他要振作，而不是一蹶不振。难道不是吗？这叫互补啊。 


However, not all of the notes are dumb. Here's a strong evidence. This is an article written by Mr Lee Kai-fu (I googled him and turns out he is the ex-vice president of Google) to his daughter. Somehow reminds me of the poem "If" written by Rudyard Kipling that we once studied in form 4. Just that, If is written to a son. while the article is written to his daughter.


I personally find that article very inspiring. And very practicle. You can Translate it if you want. but based on my past experience with google translator, it'll probably show something that is totally different from what it really means. 


My fav line is this: 
不要把世事看得太重,我们生活在这世界上,都是戏子,台上的演,台下的看,所以,演得时候认真,看得时候就不要太认真.Google translate gave me this: Do not put things too seriously, we live in this world, are actors, stage performances,the audience to see, so when they're played, see, do not have too serious.


What? what it really means is "Do not take everything too seriously. we're all actors in this world. When we're acting, the audiences are watching. So, be serious when you're acting. But when you're watching, dun take everything too seriously." Kinda true, isnt it? 


Another point that Mr Lee told his daughter is "不要在生活的细节上计较那么多,要知道,大部分男人,是孩子,需要你的照顾." This time i dare not go to google translate anymore. God knows what it will show. 
but literally, it means not to be too particular about the tiny miny things in life when you're living with your bf/fiance/husband. Because most guys are still a kid when it comes to house chores, and they need your care. If women can understand this, i think the divorce rate will go down a lot.

Do not let any man become the whole of your life. You must understand the more you invest, the more you will lose.
