Eel-Jinka

As far as I am from the blogsphere of inanimate/animate-cute-random-japanese-online-trendlike-thingys (or in short, inacrajaotth (say what?!)), which came out with livly, the maku puppets and of course, Mero (which is still at the side of my blog and i dun even bother to delete it, lazy me), I have no idea what this is when a lot of my facebook friends changed their profile pictures. To this:

Sorry wang, i just got to blog about this cause it caught my attention. 

I first noticed it a few days ago, and i thought it was an assignment, something like an online campaign thingy, that was until i realise another few of my friends changed theirs also, and they are totally in two different campuses. And to be honest, the picture looked almost like a... penis that is a little bit bent. (pardon my language, but it does look like that to me.)

Im sure im not he only one who noticed it. Jason came to me just now and told me about this. So i said, its a japanese thing, i'll did some googling and look what i've found. This thing, its an EEL. and its from a Japanese website called anago meekaa (no idea what it means, i only know anago means eel). 

I clicked into it and this shows up: 

A site, with a lot of.... eels. Its a Japanese website to let you generate your own "eel profile picture" Saw the arrows pointing left and right? those are to select the eyes, mouth and the trunk (LOL) of the eel. and the orange and pink tab let choose the colour of the background, the eel and its patterns. It was kinda cute so i made my own too. Haha, its an orange penis eel with polka dots that is bored with its current life. 

A little after that i went back to googling and I found that, people are just so creative that they draw little figures that resembles their eel. And its actually quite interesting. Take a look.

Kinda cute, right? It's actually a hit in the *scrolls up to refer* inacrajaotth blogsphere. It's called the Eel-jinka programme. Eel is eel, Im assuming Jinka means 人化 in kanji so it probably means "personalise" the eel. Which is what they are doing so well in!

Perhaps someday i'll try to draw a guy/girl out of the... eels. For now, Ciao!

p/s: if you're seeing it the same way i am (i mean seeing it like a penis), i hope this will make you change your mind because, they are just eels. Save the eels, Long live earth! Stop eating unagi (impossible!)!
