84 ways to tell if you are a chinese.

This is gonna be long, but its gonna be fun. :) specially if a chinese reads this. Hell im so proud to be a chinese. NO DOUBT! =D

1. You unwrap Christmas gifts very carefully, so you can save and reuse the wrapping (and especially those bows) next year.
Yes, so true!!

2. You only buy Christmas cards after Christmas, when they are 50% off.

haha no.. i never even buy christmas cards

3. When there is a sale on toilet paper, you buy 100 rolls and store them in your closet or in the bedroom of an adult child who has moved out.

Thats what my dad do, not me. i buy what i need cause i scared if someday i spill water on it then it will be soaking wet

4. You have a vinyl table cloth on your kitchen table.
Nope, neither my hostel now nor my home in sp..

5. Your stove is covered with aluminum foil.
again, Nope. but my kitchen counter now in the hostel has it..

6. Your kitchen has a sticky film of grease over it.
Haha always true XD

7. You have stuff in the freezer since the beginning of time.
Yes!! LOL until sometimes i have to guess what meat is that

8. You use the dishwasher as a dish rack.
i dun own a dishwasher, we're the traditional chinese family who washes dishes after dinner.

9. You have never used your dishwasher.
again, i dun own a dishwasher

10. You keep a Thermos of hot water available at all times.
Back then, yes. now im not so sure..

11. You boil water and put it in the refrigerator.
Haha thats what i do now!!

12. You eat all meals in the kitchen.
Sometimes..

13. You save grocery bags, tin foil, and tin containers.

Uh huh, specially grocery bags. plastic bags in chinese term LOL

14. You use grocery bags to hold garbage.
Haha who doesnt do that?

15. You always leave your shoes at the door.
Yeap. Always.

16. You have a piano in your living room.

17. Your parents know how to launch nasal projectiles.
As in nose shit is it? Dad did that a lot. Mom nope, mom's a lady

18. You iron your own shirts.

Haha, sad to say, hardly iron my shirt.. but for attachment uniforms, yes.

19. You play a musical instrument.
Uh huh, in fact, 2.

20. You pick your teeth at the dinner table (but you cover your mouth).
Nope..

21. You twirl your pen around your fingers.
Haha yes i did that, parents scolded me last time. LOL why not lih? increase blood flow, keep you awake while studying!

22. You hate to waste food

Nobody loves that ok..

a. Even if you're totally full, if someone says they're going to throw away the leftovers on the table, you'll finish them.
That's either bro or dad's job

b. You have Tupperware in your fridge with three bites of rice or one leftover chicken wing.
Rice yes, chicken wings, they often finish before dinner ends. LOL thanks to me.

23. You don't own any real Tupperware--only a cupboard full of used but carefully rinsed margarine tubs, takeout containers, and jam jars.
haha takeout containers so true!! i did that when i first moved to hostel.. thrown away now..

24. You also use the jam jars as drinking glasses.
No la, where got buy jam..

25. You've eaten a red bean popsicle.
Yes Potong Ice cream so nice!!!

26. You bring oranges (or other produce) with you as a gift when you visit people's homes.
LOL this reminds me of jason, he somemore bring apple..

27. You have a collection of minature shampoo bottles that you take every time you stay in a hotel.
haha yea. and pens, booklets, sewing kits, sugar, salt, toothpaste, toothbrush, combs....

28. The condiments in your fridge are either Price Club sized or come in plastic packets, which you save/steal every time you get take out or go to McDonald's.

29. Ditto paper napkins.

30. You never order room service.
Yea, never once

31. You carry a stash of your own food whenever you travel (and travel means any car ride longer than 15 minutes)...These travel snacks are always dried. As in not just dried plums, dried ginger, and beef/pork jerky, but dried cuttlefish (SQUID).
No la.. but last time my mom always have dried plums, sometimes prunes, sometimes dried orange skin...

32. You own a rice cooker.
Yeap! my house got at least 3 if noone throw them away.

33. You wash your rice at least 2-3 times before cooking it.
in fact i insist on 4 times. LOL mom teach one!!!

34. You spit bones and other food scraps on the table. (That's why you need the vinyl tablecloth).
Nope, but sometimes my parents cant stand me piling them up on my plate and asked me to just put on the table.

35. Your parents vehemently refuse the sack of gold coin oranges that their guests just brought just to be courteous.
Noone did that though...

36. You fight over who pays the dinner bill
Not just dinner, this includes breakfast, lunch, tea and even candy..

37. Your dad thinks he can fix everything himself.
YESSSSSS *mom must be either laughing or shaking her head if she reads this* RIGHT MOM?

38. You majored in something practical like engineering, medicine or law.
Nursing, super practical.

39. When you go to a dance party, there are a wall of guys surrounding the dance floor trying to look cool.
No lah..

40. You live with your parents and you are 30 years old (and they prefer it that way). Or if you're married and 30 years old, you live in the apartment next door to your parents, or at least in the same neighborhood.
Haha, i dun think it will be this way..

41. You don't use measuring cups.
I use ok.. or at least, mom did.. when she is baking..

42. You feel like you've gotten a good deal if you didn't pay tax.
Skip.. never paid before..

43. You beat eggs with chopsticks.
no... edge of the counter. LOL

44. Your parents' house is always cold.
Its cool cause of the marble floor, but not cold.

A mug actually, with a cat printing.

Haha YES!!! YES SO TRUE!!!!!!! hahahahahah cant stop laughing.

48. If you're under age 20, you own a really expensive walkman if you're over 20, you own a really expensive camera.
Im under 20, and my walkman isnt really expensive, not as expensive as an iPod, but i own a camera. Thanks mom. ;)

49. Your mom drives her Mercedes to the Price Club.
Mom drives lovely kancil.

50. You always look phone numbers up in the phone book, since calling Information costs 50 cents.
.......my house got one phone book la.. but then... none of my contacts are in it..

51. You tip Chinese delivery guys/waiters more.
Do i look like i have enough money to even go to a restaurant where people tip waiters?

I make long distance calls anytime

.....it reminds me of some chinese online games though...

56. You have acquired a taste for bittermelon.
nobody call it bittermelon la. what? literal translation?! LOL and yes, i tasted it.. >< parents said its nutritious.. so i kinda ate abit lo..

57. You like congee with thousand year old eggs.
what is thousand year old eggs? pei dan? then yes... they are so delicious!! Jason stop telling me about its making process.

58. You prefer your shrimp with the heads and legs still attached--it means they're fresh.
See la which type.. if big one then yes lo.. if small one then walao, until when only can eat? so small... how to remove those?

59. You never call your parents just to say hi.
long distance calls are expensive to just call and say hi.

60. You always cook too much.
a bit la.. hahaha.

61. If you don't live at home, when your parents call, they ask if you've eaten, even if it's midnight.
Uh huh mom did that a lot, grandma did that too, even jason's mom did that too! haha. :)

62. Also, if you don't live at home, your parents always want you to come home.
Hmm... not really... im here to study ma.

63. Your parents tell you to boil herbs and stay inside when you get sick.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT MY MOM JUST ASKED ME TO! haha. This morning!!

64. When you're sick, they also tell you not to eat fried foods or baked goods because they produce hot air (yeet hay in Cantonese).
YES!!! haha, even the auntie in the chinese medicine hall asked me not to, and she even dun allow me to buy chrysanthemum when im having cough.. Awww auntie so cute!!

65. You e-mail your Chinese friends at work, even though you only sit 10 feet apart.
No, i msn them, when they are beside me. LOL

66. Your parents never go to the movies.
I asked mom to go with me, and she always say TIRED, NEXT TIME, HAHA DUN WANT LA.. dun care ar, next break im bringing you to the new cinema in village mall. But dad watch more movies than me, from the DVD.

67. Your parents send money to their relatives in China.
My parents dun even know who are our relatives in China LOL

68. You use a face cloth.
Nope. Not now. last time yes, i'll bring handkerchief to school. haha cute right.

NO! im always early to classes.

Haha yes!!! specially when you eat with other people whom you dun really know them well enough to show your true color.

No, I know a lot of chinese does this, but my dad is a chem teacher so he dun do it.

Mom has, i dun. and she hardly sharpen it de lo mommy hor~~
